How can we learn from nature to create more sustainable materials, smarter technology, and innovative solutions to global challenges? This class takes teachers on a journey through bio-inspired nanotechnology, in which the fundamental building blocks of life—proteins, cells, and adaptive systems—serve as blueprints for the next generation of materials and devices. Participants will gain insights into biomolecular engineering, learn about emerging fields such as systems chemistry, and discover how AI-driven automation is accelerating discoveries in bio-inspired design.
