Curious about the art of stained glass? Whether you want to create a unique piece for yourself or as a gift, this hands-on workshop at the NYC Museum School will guide you through the fundamentals of stained glass craftsmanship. You’ll learn how to cut glass, shape and fit pieces together, and solder them into a finished design. No prior artistic experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm! By the end of the session, you’ll take home your own handcrafted stained glass piece.
Cost: $15 (a $45 value, includes supplies and dinner)

Scott Wassmuth
Scott Wassmuth earned his BA in environmental science at the University at Buffalo, his JD from New York Law School, and his MS in science education from Brooklyn College. He has been teaching at the NYC Museum School since 2009 and continues to hold many leadership and mentor roles at the school. He began his teaching career through the NYC Teaching Fellows program, and has been a recipient of the Math for America Master Teacher Fellowship for three continuous cohorts. Scott has also held other positions in connection with his teaching, including being an instructional design team member for the AP College Board, co-authoring the rearticulation of the AP Environmental Science course and exam description.
