Beautiful sculptures, gargoyles, and architectural flourishes have decorated buildings for millennia, but the tools and techniques used to produce them are shrouded in mystery. In this one-of-a-kind workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of traditional stone carving and then chisel and carve their own block of stone. The resulting sculpture may not turn out to be a masterpiece, but anyone taking this workshop will never look at a stone carving the same way again and will come to understand why humans have been obsessed with shaping stone for thousands of years.
