Our partner, The Triad Theater, is hosting this event.

“A global musical alchemist and cultural agent provocateur” (Songlines UK), Sunny Jain has built a career on confounding expectations and restless exploration—from his work as drummer with Pakistani rock kings Junoon, to founding the global dance party band Red Baraat, to his varied projects as a jazz drummer, dhol virtuoso, author, composer, producer, and bandleader.

The New York–born Jain creates music that is as powerful, wildly diverse, and thought-provoking as America itself—a mashup of cultures and expressions. Bollywood classics and Spaghetti Westerns, Indian folk traditions, jazz improvisation, and rollicking psychedelic and surf guitar styles are all ingredients in this spicy and satisfying blend.
